Right I'm too sleepy to do all of the New Zealand photos now but this is our campervan - we thought we'd go for a big one only thinking about how much room we'd have, not how huge it would be to drive! This is where we decided to stop for some lunch on the first day and to take in the view.

Our room, as always we only remembered to take a photo as we were leaving but we we're there for about 7 weeks it was a really nice room and we had our very own en suite!

Final night in our house in Sydney there's childrens toys everwhere because we lived a couple who have a one and a half year old called Texas - we had some great games of catch!

I treked up to the lighthouse looking over palm beach which had some pretty good views - like this one. Palm beach is the one on the left.

And action shot of me chasing a frisbee on palm beach - it was just like a scene from home and away!

A couple more from my camera in Sydney to catch up to date - here's charlotte chiling out on Mrs Macquarrie's chair which is in the botanical gardens by the opera house.

Here's us in our snorkelling gear!

Another shot of my favourite fish - I think I'm done with the underwater photos of fish for now but there's lots more for when I get home! Needless to say Cairns was awesome I'll definitely be going diving again.

Coral!

Blue starfish! super cool!

Coral! there's hundreds of these showing different coral but I'm just going to put a few up

Thats all of him and one of his friends - pretty formidable size but he was just chilling out like everything else.

BIG FISH! this guy was huge which was really fun - I had to zoom out all the way to catch all of him.

Another fun little yellow fish with some luminous orange going on.

these fish were a really pretty shape but also ridiculously fast - thankfully we had a couple of different reefs we snorkelled so I sould get a picture but not one thats in focus...

On reflection I think maybe this one was my favourite actually.. it was definitely one of the yellow ones!

Clam! these guys a fun they move if you poke them a bit apparently but the only thing we had was a float charlotte had - it was funny trying to watch charlotte get the float under and we never did quite manage it but a lot of them were a fun turquoise colour which I wasn't expecting.

Fish and coral! think this was my favour fish because of its vivid yellow colour and markings,

Techno luminous head fish! see I don't need their real names... this guy was too fast for me to get all of him but I think I gave him a decent race in a bid to get a photo.

Fish! I guess if I new their names I could be more insightful but the reef is amazing there so many different kind of fish and coral this guy was really colourful under the water.

Fish! I have loads of this guy he was a bit slow to run away and a pretty colour so he was fair game!
Coral!

Fish! I have quite a few of this guy he must have been a bit more sleepy than the others so I could catch him with my camera!

Right quick game of coral or fish.... this one's coral and fish! The reef was amazing it was pretty shallow too so we could snorkel around and check it out. I have hundreds of photos but I'll put up some of the better ones.

Right so up at 6am the next morning for some snorkelling action! There was rumour of a turtle sleeping near the back of the boat so we got ready and they took us out on a dingy to where he was meant to be.

The sunset from our liveaboard boat - not sure whats going on with my hair...

Right so there's no pictures of us actually diving because my super camera only goes to 3metres under water and we we're going 15m under but this is us chilling out afterwards - diving was awesome we saw a stingray which was cool but Charlotte wasn't a big fan of diving so deep so we decided to switch to Snorkelling for the next day... and my camera could get some action!

This is us on our boat heading out to the reef for some diving!

So finally I have the photos of our trip to Cairns - this is us on the plane from Sydney on the Friday night after work

Unbelieveably I think I've done most of Australia now (apart from some fish pictures!) I'm off for a jog and then when I get back I might start on NZL where I did things such as this - yup thats me climbing up an ice cave while going up the Franz Josef glacier!

Proof that its the home and away beach! I'll be honest I've no idea whether thats the right sign but charlotte seemed to think it was..

We headed up to plam beach for the day which is where they film home and away so now we've done the neighbours tour and been to the home and away beach!

One last walk over the sydney harbour bridge - we couldn't afford the more exciting walk over the top of the bridge so did our own at street level! This shots from the far side of the bridge looking bck over the harbour.

We headed out of the City to watch Marty play football - I think it was 4-3 in the end it was great game with a goal from nearly the halfway line (even the guy who scored it admitted it was meant to be a cross!). This is Alyias just giving Marty some pointers.

There was another public holiday for ANZAC day which is in memory of those AUS and NZL soldiers that died in WWI so we went along to a dawn service at 4am to commemorate them. It was a good service but torrential rain - we did get Anzac cookies though!

Inside the stadium - our team's in light blue...

We headed to the ANZ Stadium to watch the super 14s play rugby union - the Warratahs (the local team) took on the Brumbies and won!

We went for a wander round to

McQuarrie point where you get a good view of the opera house and the bridge. I'm practicing some more camera poses...

Arty shots out the plane window

from Cairns back to Sydney. Randomly we were sitting next to a guy that did the diving with us.

Us taking a walk along the river.

Us and another very impressive waterfall, the only problem with rainforests is that its usually pretty wet....

Once we were back on dry land we had a day in Cairns to chill out because you can't fly straight after diving so we headed to the rainforest - this is me negotiating a stream in the rainforest.
To Cairns! we stayed on a boat for 2 days and one night which was awesome - we had leetle bit of drama on the first day when charlotte paniced a bit while we were diving so we changed to the trusty snorkel for the next day. That meant I got to use my snazzy new underwater camera. Once I find the lead for the camera those fish pictures and coming thick and fast!

So Charlotte finished working at one of here dental practices and they got here this cake - very impressive! I'm going to mention this to the guys here when I leave...

The steepest funicular railway in the world which they used to use for mining - it was fairly terrifying to go on and we were only getting it back up the cliff!

Down in the rainforests was an explanation of how mining used to be done and a metal horse for children to play on...
We made it down the cliff and here's us doing a walk in the rainforests of the blue mountains.

As there was no castle we went in search of waterfalls and found a good one half way down one of the cliffs.

It was a nice weekend and we were invited to a family bbq with charlotte's family on the saturday night so we decided to stay up in the blue mountains and go for a walk to a castle (note - turn out there is no castle its just a rock formation I was expecting something like arundel / warwick)

It was a nice sunny weekend so I went on a 10k run (the manly scenic walk) and managed to stack it as I was trying to pass an old lady on some steps which resulted in a pretty impressive bruise.. no sign of that now but its was good at the time!
